HOW DO I BOOK AN APARTMENT?
Ready to book your accommodation? Making a reservation with Testa d'Oro Apartments in Venice is so easy! We recommend you to check out our Hot Deals and Special kits first and see if there is a match. Copy the Coupon Code and add it before payment check-out.
STEP 1 -
select the apartment
Go to our BOOK NOW section, enter the dates of your arrival and departure and the number of people traveling into the search bar, then click ‘Search’.
Our system will show you all of the apartments we have available matching your criteria. Alternatively, almost every page has a search bar at the top
book the apartment
Select the apartment you prefer and click ‘Book now’ to begin the reservation process. You will see the reservation process on the right-hand side, and the reservation summary on the left.
STEP 3 -
choose add ons
Choose Add Ons like Extra Grocery, Water Taxi, etc, or click "Skip".
On your RIGHT-hand side, you will always find a summary of your reservation. Search for the PROMOTION/ COUPON CODE. Click it, and add the coupon code you have, and click "Apply." The system will recalculate the total amount.
You will be shown the first amount to pay right away (30 %) and the second amount to pay 1 day before your arrival (70 %).
Click "Confirm & Pay" and it is done.
CONFIRMATION & CANCELLATION POLICY
HOW DO I CONFIRM MY BOOKING?
Your Reservation is guaranteed upon booking. You will receive an email shortly after the booking is done.
Nevertheless, for the purpose of confirming your intention of coming and helping us arrange your stay, the “Online Booking Confirmation Form” must be filled and sent back to Testa d’Oro. (the form will be sent automatically once the SEND button is clicked)
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
100% of the payments made are refundable if canceled up to 3 days before arrival.
0% refundable if canceled after the said period of time.
- Update: Cancellations due to proven Covid-19 restrictions are fully refundable.
HOW IS MY RATE CALCULATED?
Your rate is guaranteed upon booking. The price will only be recalculated if more people than stated on the reservation arrive.
Your rate includes the local VAT (I.V.A).
Testa d'Oro separates the "Price per Night" from the "Cleaning Fee" This is an example of price and dates that shows how your rates are calculated:
Total night fees + Cleaning Fee € 40,00 + Any required Extras (ex: baby traveling kit) = TOTAL Due
The City Tax is EXCLUDED from the rate and will be calculated upon arrival.
CAN I SEE THE RATE IN THE CURRENCY OF MY COUNTRY?
Your rate is quoted in EURO. However, you may see and change the currency of your country while booking. The calculation is approximate and done automatically.
The rates are EXCLUDING local tourism levies (the Tourist Tax) which must be paid upon arrival. Please read the section below for more information.
HOW DOES THE PAYMENT WORKS?
The price of the stay will be debited according to the booking terms: 30% due upon booking. 70% due upon 1 day before arrival.
Last-minute reservation: 100% upon booking.
HOW MUCH DOES AN EXTRA BED COSTS?
The Total Night Fees varies according to the number of guests (the percentage changes after 4 guests). Please be sure you have inserted the right amount of guests.
You can find the maximum capacity in each apartment's info.
You can request 1 extra bed and 1 crib.
Price: Adults are charged EUR 25,00 per night for extra beds.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge for extra cribs.
WILL I RECEIVE A PROOF OF PAYMENT?
Whenever the payment is done, you will receive an automated email from our system.
As for the invoice, we will need to know your FULL NAME, COUNTRY (Addresses in case of Companies), and DATE OF BIRTH to make the invoices. Please notify your check-in person if you would like to receive a copy of the invoices.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
No, we don't require a deposit.
Nonetheless, in the case that some objects in the apartment are broken or lost, we will first contact you and then debit you the total cost of which object.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
WHAT IS YOUR STANDARD CHECK-IN TIME?
Standard check-in is after 3 P.M.
You will be appointed a check-in person who will first meet you, guide you to the apartment and offer lots of information about the city and the apartment. Your check-in person will be your point of reference throughout the stay.
Early Check-In: Early Check-ins may store their luggage with us free of charge. We will personally bring the luggage inside the apartment.
Groups with kids will have a priority check-in.
NO extra charges for early or late check-in
WHAT IS YOUR STANDARD CHECK-OUT TIME?
Standard check-out is prior to 11 A.M. Please leave the keys on the table, close windows, light, and AC before you leave. The cleaning staff will then enter the apartment. Or please wait for your porter guy, if you have requested the service in advance.
Late check-outs: Late Check-outs can store their luggage with us. You will be given all the instructions.
While every effort will be made to accommodate requirements for late checkouts or early check-ins, this will be dependent on the availability of the apartment. Please know that we will do our best to facilitate you.

MEETING POINT & CHECK-IN PERSON
WHO SHALL MEET US?
Testa d'Oro would like to greet and help you in person so that you may feel accompanied throughout your whole stay. So:
You will receive an email with the number and photo of your check-in person 1 day before your arrival. Any changes will be informed via SMS.
Until then, you will have an Online Concierge at your disposal for any request, information, or necessities. In other words, you will never be left alone throughout the whole process.
It is very important that you CONTACT your check-in person via phone, message, or email once you are on the boat to Rialto. If unable to contact him due to roaming or internet issues, you will be given a password to the Venetian Hotspot Wifi.
WHERE SHALL WE MEET?
On the day of your arrival, your check-in person will meet you at the Rialto Line n. 2 landing stop (In front of Travelex) and lead you in person to the apartment, where he/she will guide you through the apartment and the city. Though the apartments are 2 minutes away from transportation and in the very center, please DO NOT rely on Google Maps as it is incapable to find civic numbers in Venice.
DO I NEED TO PAY THE CITY TAX?
Starting from August 24, 2011, The Municipality of Venice has introduced a new tribute called "Tourist Tax" or "City Tax", which is charged to non-residents staying in hotels, b&b, and holiday rentals located in Venice.
The Municipal Council, in accordance with the Regional Law 11/2013 article 27 bis, has approved the new tourist tax rates. All the rates are stated in each Apartment.
IS THE CITY TAX INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL FEE?
No, the city tax is EXCLUDED from the Total Fee and will be calculated upon arrival.
IS IT NECESSARY THAT I LEAVE A PROOF OF IDENTITY FOR REGISTRATION?
Yes, current government regulations for the Anti Mafia Law require all guests to present proof of identity at the time of check-in which will be registered at the nearest police station within a 2-day period.
We will also need your personal email and cell phone number for the invoice and further communication.
HOW DOES THE GARBAGE WORK?
It is strictly forbidden to leave the garbage downstairs, on the street, or in the courtyard! THE MINIMUM FINE IS 167€. Moreover, it is a sign of respect for our neighborhood.
As a result, we will throw all the garbage at your check-out.
If you want to get rid of the garbage before check-out, please CONTACT your check-in person.
SHOULD I RECYCLE?
Yes, please remember to separate the waste in this way:
1. Plastic/ glass/
2. Clean paper
3. The rest is normal garbage.
You will find 3 garbage cans in each apartment.
HOW DO THE HEATING & AC WORK?
Testa d'Oro is eager to help to save the planet. That is why we do not use small Shampoos and Body Gel and big toilet papers. Our cleaning ladies use detergents that minimize the harm to the ecological system.
We kindly ask each guest to close the lights and Ac before leaving the house.
HEATING SYSTEM: the maximum temperature allowed by law is 21 °C/ 69,8 °F
AIRCONDITIONING: according to the Law DPR n. 74 of 04/16/2013, the AC must be turned at 24 °C/ 72,8 °F

CAN I SMOKE IN THE HOUSE?
Smoking is NOT allowed inside the apartment. Smoking is allowed outside only.
CAN I USE ALL THE APPLIANCES PRESENT IN THE APARTMENT?
Yes, of course. Please keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Please only use appliances for their intended uses.
HOW ABOUT THE BATHROOM?
Please DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time.
Please do not use the towels to clean other items. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units.
CAN I BRING MY PET?
Unfortunately, pets are NOT allowed as we are not qualified in this sense.
CAN I ORGANIZE PARTIES IN THE HOUSE?
Please do not organize parties in the house. We try to maintain a peaceful and good environment for every guest as well as the neighbors.
IS THERE A DAILY HOUSEKEEPING?
There is no daily housekeeping service. The cleaning will be done before check-in. For stays longer than 5 days, towels and linen change can be required, nevertheless.
HOW DOES THE ELECTRICITY WORK IN ITALY?
Please do not open all electronic devices at once. The maximum potency is 3 kW.
The Italian voltage is 220 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. ALWAYS use a power plug adapter.
IMPORTANT: Connecting an electronic device designed for a voltage of 110 Volt at a voltage of 220/230 Volt can be very dangerous. There is a risk of burns, fires, or explosions.
To be sure, check the label on the appliance. In Italy, the power sockets are of type F and L.
Do not insert different plugs into the sockets. The fact that the plug fits well in the socket is not enough to ensure that the voltage in use is correct.

WHAT IF I NEED SOMETHING/ MAKE A RESERVATION/ INFORMATION?
No problem! This is why we always appoint our guests with a personal check-in person.
Your check-in person is always available for any information, any requirement, and any reservation. So please feel free to contact him/her.
You will also find information materials, maps, and brochures for all the attractions and opportunities inside the apartment and in the pdf file we will send you.
AND WHAT IF I HAVE ANY KIND OF ISSUES?
Our guests can be assured that in the unlikely event of a problem, we will put the maximum effort into rectifying it as soon as possible with the minimum inconvenience.
All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Please call us if any emergency happens.
The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
